View Related Assets

You can view related objects or assets, edit asset attributes, search for work orders and inspections associated with an asset, or create a work order or inspection from an asset.

  1. Select assets on the map.
  2. Select assets in the Results panel.
  3. Click Flag highlighted assets for work management. If you don't want all the assets selected, select the check boxes for the ones you do want.

TIP: You can enable the auto save preference so that assets are automatically saved.

  1. Click Related Assets from the Navigation panel.

The related assets are listed in the work management tab.

  1. Click a feature to select it.
  2. Click Expand to expand the hierarchy so that all assets are shown.
  3. Click Check to select the assets related to the selected feature. Click Uncheck to clear the check boxes.

The assets that have been selected can be added to a new work order or inspection. Work orders and inspections can be searched for the selected asset.   1. Select the action to be taken from the toolbar. The toolbar allows you to create work orders and inspections, search work orders and inspections, or flag an asset for future use.

Asset attributes can also be viewed or edited from this page.

  1. Select the desired asset in the Feature / Object Selection panel.

The attributes for the asset are visible in the Feature / Object Field Values panel.

  1. Click Open to open the Asset Viewer. See View or Edit Attributes for more information on editing attributes.

NOTE: The attributes displayed in the Feature / Object Values panel and its formatting are configured in Designer under GISAsset Groups > Asset Form Configuration for each asset type. See Add an Asset Type in the Designer for 15.8 Guide for more information.
